DID YOU HEAR OUR LION'S ROAR? OUR APPEARANCE ON THE SUCCESSFUL VOX FOUNDERS' STORIES SHOW "DIE HÖHLE DER LÖWEN" ON SEPTEMBER 09, 2024
What an amazing experience! Although we didn't end up getting one of the sought-after investor deals, it was still an amazing event that we wouldn't want to miss! For all those who weren't able to watch our performance with Manuel Kramer (Vice President of the German Darts Association) and "Maximiser" Max Hopp (eight-time World Cup participant and U-23 World Champion), here’s a short recap of the pitch. We really went all out in front of the investors Carsten Maschmeyer, Dagmar Wöhrl, Nils Glagau, Tijen Onaran and Ralf Dümmel!
During our pitch performance, the TV set was transformed into a “Höhly Pally” with a real audience/fan block consisting of family & friends (once again, a huge thanks for your moral support!) – an absolute novelty in the popular TV format’s history! For a warm-up, we asked the investors to take part in a little darts tournament and Dagmar Wöhrl turned out to be a secret darts talent! She scored 110 points with only three throws. Wow – a score that can actually be considered world class! This spontaneous success was of course entirely due to our shoes, surely Dagmar would agree ;-)
Although our business idea was able to score points with all lions (darts as a “huge growth market”) and our product was positively reviewed in terms of function, quality, workmanship, fit and value for money, unfortunately we didn't end up with an investor and some extra cash. However, the disappointment was short-lived as we’re taking the great professionals' feedback with us on a journey which has only just begun. Moreover, we are simply grateful for the public forum that was given to us on “Die Höhle der Löwen”. There’s lots to come. Let’s keep going!
